The creation of accessibility and inclusion is currently a central socio-political concern. However, these two goals are not always compatible. Therefore, it is important to reflect on different types of barriers, the specific needs of individual target groups, and measures to achieve accessibility from an interdisciplinary perspective. This volume is the result of a conference that explored the intersections between various techniques for barrier removal, such as audio description, subtitling for the deaf, easy and plain language, and other forms of communication optimization.
