The aim of the book is to revitalize the somewhat one-sided and entrenched social space orientation in social work. Although the term is widely used, in the practice of social work, the paradigm of social space orientation is often associated primarily with social administrative measures such as organizational development in youth welfare offices and the establishment of social space budgets. These and other pressing issues in the practice of youth assistance and neighborhood management are re-discussed in the contributions based on an expanded concept of social space.
