The October Revolution of 1917 and the art of the avant-garde are closely linked through the revolutionary aspects of art and the creative potential of the avant-garde. The multifaceted connections and interactions are explored by the authors of this volume dedicated to Aage Hansen-Löve on his 70th birthday, featuring contributions from theory, art history, intermediality research, film studies, and literary studies.
