Well-educated migrant women with a Muslim background are particularly affected by the contradictory debates surrounding migration. On one hand, they are among the currently desired highly qualified professionals. On the other hand, they are perceived as particularly foreign and are at risk of being suspected of integration deficits. The study analyzes the opportunities and limitations that arise from this for participation in the labor market and feelings of belonging. Thus, the book sheds light on a somewhat overlooked topic related to Muslim migrants and broadens the perspective on highly qualified migration. It contributes to the central question of how to deal with difference in theory and practice.
