Julia Tonn investigates the extent to which organizational structures and processes contribute to the emergence and maintenance of the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions in private companies in Germany. The research question thus follows the New Structuralism approach. In this case, the author analyzes gender-specific inequality using concepts and theories from organizational research. To this end, she conducted a qualitative study to identify the reasons for underrepresentation in practice.
