The development of new technologies by universities, colleges, and research institutions, particularly in cooperation with industry, is of immense importance for securing Germany's competitiveness and innovative capacity. However, it always requires industrial implementation, the adaptation of new technologies and processes into the existing production landscape, and into innovative products and services. A key prerequisite for this is an effective and efficient transfer of new technologies and processes from research to industry.
