It is not our merit that we wake up again after sleep. Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge that aims to connect the spiritual in human beings with the spiritual in the universe. It manifests in humans as a need of the heart and feelings. It must justify itself by being able to satisfy this need. Only those who find in it what they must seek from their own spirit can acknowledge Anthroposophy. Therefore, anthroposophists can only be individuals who feel certain questions about the nature of humanity and the world as a necessity of life, just as one feels hunger and thirst. With these sentences, Rudolf Steiner opened a series of guiding principles in the last months of his life in 1924, which fundamentally delve into the essence of Anthroposophy and, even for the knowledgeable, surprise with their rich perspective and density.
