Product details

According to the designs of Rudolf Steiner, the two Goetheanum buildings were constructed in Dornach near Basel between 1913 and 1928 as the center of the anthroposophical movement. Following the wooden architecture of the first building, which burned down in 1922, the second Goetheanum was built in concrete and is gaining increasing attention in professional circles. Here, one can see the approach to artistic architecture that is sought after again today. Due to the monumental impact of the main building, the smaller structures built around it, also designed by Steiner, tend to fade into the background. These include residential houses and functional buildings that draw from the terrain's structure and reflect the architectural ideas of the Goetheanum in relation to their intended functions.
