The globalization of the electricity market led to the European standard EN 50341-1 and the derived specification for Germany EN 50341-3-4. These standards were only published in 2001. The book presents the planning of overhead lines, the selection of conductors, the calculation and execution of masts and foundations, as well as all other components and the newer assembly methods. It refers to the current editions of relevant national and international regulations and provides an overview of important literature. This work can serve as a reference book and as documentation for the current technical standard in line construction. It is aimed at students, beginners in the industry at operators, manufacturers, and consulting firms, as well as all professionals in the electricity sector.
