Product details

Currently, the greatest danger on the entire globe comes from fanatics. As terrorists, they wage war against specific groups because of their beliefs or skin color. As suicide bombers, they randomly murder individuals to testify their faith and/or to gain media attention. Amos Oz, who grew up in Jerusalem and became a writer in a kibbutz, is active in the "Peace Now" movement. Due to his personal experiences, he has become an "expert on comparative fanaticism." In his books, he explores its depths. As a commentator, he fights against them politically, and as someone affected, he poses the question to himself and others of how one can become a fanatic. Therefore, the three essays in this volume do not come from a researcher or an expert, but are based on the author's existential involvement and his experiences in daily interactions.
