Wolfgang Illig focuses on leadership in banks during transformation processes in his work. He examines whether today's standard leadership styles are still sufficient to meet the challenges and, against the backdrop of financial and banking crises as well as increasing government regulation, investigates which leadership system can help banks enhance the necessary networking of knowledge to improve the experienced leadership. To this end, he developed a leadership system of fragmented knowledge elements that can contribute to activating existing resources.
