Abstract: This paper deals with the consideration of the cruise market in connection with health offerings, specifically wellness programs, to complement the segment of wellness cruises. This is also in light of the fact that many ships that would be suitable for this purpose are otherwise being scrapped for economic reasons. To examine the future development of the cruise market, demographic change and developments in the healthcare sector were considered, and suggestions for a market analysis, provider and consumer analysis, as well as a cost-effectiveness analysis were created.
