Simone Pülschen explains whether and how personality development can be specifically supported within the framework of a teacher training program. Building on the principles of modern "third wave" behavioral therapy, the author develops and evaluates an acceptance and commitment training. In an application-oriented module format, the training enhances the cooperative competence of special education students while also reducing stress. As part of the training, students are guided through a formal approach to value clarification and commitment. This effectively prepares them for pedagogical cooperation in inclusive teaching settings, which special educators will be required to engage in in the future.
