Product details
Continuous casting, as a link between the process industry processing of liquid batches and the manufacturing industry generation of individual slabs, offers a high degree of planning freedom that has hardly been systematically utilized so far. Matthias Wichmann is developing a planning system for the optimal use of these degrees of freedom in the design and sequencing of batches and slabs. The potential application of the system is demonstrated in a case study based on real data.
