Ricardo Büttner examines automated negotiations and designs an argumentation-based negotiation mechanism for negotiation objects that can only be imperfectly described. He methodically derives this from an organizational theory framework and implements it in a multi-agent system. Due to the increasing importance of electronic markets, there is a need for the automation of negotiations. Multi-agent systems (MAS) play a crucial role in this context.
