Companies are repeatedly confronted with ethical challenges in the course of their economic activities, which cannot be easily resolved by merely referring to applicable laws or recognized moral standards. This is particularly true for activities in an international context. Consequently, business practice is increasingly seeking ways to fulfill its ethical responsibilities.
