Product details
Readers of the book are taken into the life stories of 13 individuals affected by burnout. These narratives could only be written from a retrospective perspective, even though all of them had some sense of the connections during the burnout process. It would have been too painful to admit that the chosen direction was wrong or that they were unable to handle their daily lives, as we often allow society to dictate the interpretation during a burnout process: You are too weak, you are a failure, others manage it, you should be able to manage it too, remember what you have invested! However, in hindsight, they all allowed themselves to interpret what they experienced and describe their experience with burnout as a critically important event in their lives, leading to a more authentic daily existence. The retrospective perspective allows for this.
