The authors describe in this book how a cybersecurity strategy is developed and implemented. They highlight the geopolitical influences as well as the organizational and technical frameworks. Cyber risks arise from the use of information technologies, but also include organizational and technical risks, making them not just an issue for the IT department, but for company management as well. Therefore, a cyber strategy should be part of the corporate strategy and not just a component of the IT strategy. Government and corporate security measures will need to work more closely together on cyber issues. Only in this way can economic spaces in cyberspace be secured in the long term.
