In this book, Hendrik Neubauer addresses the musical event of humor-oriented cabaret. His empirical investigation reveals that the performance events associated with the comedians Helge Schneider, Mike Krüger, and Rainald Grebe can be understood as individual experiential systems. A characteristic feature is that the respective performance events are interactive originals. The perception of humor depends on the quality of the design of the performance. The characteristics of the experiential systems outlined here can be compared with those of other cultural sociological system models of postmodernism to identify societal trends.
