Educational research has experienced a significant boom in recent years, partly due to the public discussion of the results of school performance studies. Migration research also received a tremendous boost following Germany's official commitment to immigration. The research on ethnic inequalities in the German education system connects these two topics and simultaneously addresses a social area that is particularly consequential for future life opportunities. This volume aims to provide an overview of the findings from empirical research regarding ethnic educational inequalities. The authors identify the most important and stable results related to the issues discussed, provide a comparative overview, and point out gaps in the research.
