Amira Gazawi-Triebke examines the impact of the Bologna reform on the skill set of bachelor's degree students, which also poses new challenges for companies. Through an empirical study, it is demonstrated that companies recruiting bachelor's graduates respond to the new performance level with two different strategies. The author explains the strategic consequences and long-term effects for companies arising from the acquisition and retention of university graduates.
