Frankfurter Rundschau is compelled to seek financial assistance from Frankfurter Sparkasse and Dresdner Bank. There, too, layoffs due to operational reasons are unavoidable. All newspapers have seen significant declines in classified advertising markets (job postings, real estate, automotive market).
