This book describes integrated corporate planning as a concept for the targeted coordination of operational decisions in industrial companies. It demonstrates how the influencing factors from procurement, sales, production, and resources can be combined into a comprehensive planning model and what requirements arise for software systems. It becomes evident which solutions already exist to address current and future challenges, for example, in the form of so-called AEP software systems (Advanced Enterprise Planning), which enable complete integration of performance and financial management in real-time. With the tools presented, planning models can be traced in detail, and simulations and tests can be conducted. Among other topics, it addresses real-time feedback data and the reduction of lead times.
