Product details
The innovation inertia of established companies is a frequently described phenomenon in literature and practice. To enhance innovation capability, the concept of 'Internal Corporate Venturing' (ICV) is often referenced, which represents the combination of the potentials of established companies and young growth firms. Florian Mes examines the extent to which ICV activities can contribute to increasing the innovation capability of established companies and how much can be learned from Venture Capital (VC) in this context. It is shown that while a blind transfer of VC instruments is not beneficial, they can be used to assess the systematization intensity of a top-down established ICV program.
