In the digital age, media offer children and adolescents various opportunities for entertainment, communication, and self-expression. At the same time, the use of digital media is also associated with dangers. How does youth media protection address the potential risks? What significance does media education hold, and what role can parents play in this context? These questions are at the center of this volume in the series 'Media Education and Society'. In addition to discussing the currently debated dangers of media use and the impact of institutional youth media protection, current findings on media education practices in families are provided based on an empirical study.
