The focus is on an investigation into the perception of indicators for potential risks to child welfare by professionals in daycare facilities. The research closely addresses the requirements and procedures outlined in § 8a SGB VIII that are imposed on educators in daycare centers. In addition to approaching the number of affected children and families, the aim was to explore existing possibilities and limitations, as well as practiced approaches that arise from a professionally oriented child protection in practice, while also giving a voice to the professionals involved.
