The work describes the characteristics of peer feedback and provides an overview of findings regarding its effectiveness. Peer feedback is a form of workplace-related, cooperative learning. It is generally assumed that this learning arrangement supports the professional development of teachers. Central questions of the empirical study, which surveyed over 1,000 teachers from vocational schools in Baden-Württemberg and Hamburg, include the evaluation of peer feedback by teachers and the relationship between this evaluation and professional goal orientation.
