Alexandra Scherrmann explores the learning method "Learning with Examples" under the premise of a constructivist-oriented teaching approach. To investigate whether examples with gaps or errors can also be effective in regular mathematics instruction, she employs various types of examples (complete, incomplete, erroneous) in a lesson unit on "Analyzing Data" for lower secondary education. The quantitative analyses show positive effects on both subject-specific and motivational-affective levels. The qualitative analyses of student interviews provide insights into the learning paths and strategies used.
