The authors develop an Insight Mobility concept that distinguishes four decision alternatives from the customer's perspective: "I drive," "I am driven," "I let others drive," and "I stay." They compile market research data on the most significant mobility offerings and supplement this with insights from in-depth interviews conducted with 24 mobility users and experts. Based on this, eight mobility types and their individual mobility profiles are identified.
