Product details
The author presents the first empirical, critical social psychological study of the role of concepts of normality among children when they talk about disability. His survey of schoolchildren in inclusive primary schools in Brandenburg shows that disability and normality are concepts that are inextricably linked and connected in diverse, contradictory ways. These findings contribute to the empirically grounded theorization of normality—a concept that is essential for psychology but has been scarcely studied.
