Product details
Christopher Meinecke addresses the question of how private households can become adaptive electricity consumers in a digital power grid (Smart Grid) powered by renewable energy sources. Based on a year-long field test involving more than 650 private households, he examines, using multivariate statistical longitudinal methods, the impact of Smart Meter-based feedback systems and variable tariff models on their electricity consumption. Furthermore, the political, legal, and economic framework conditions for the pending rollout of Smart Meters in Germany are also discussed.
