Product details
The starting point of the book is the examination of so-called quality series as prototypical products of television in the age of cultural convergence. It is assumed that quality entertainment enables a special culturally bound, complex and enriching reception experience. It therefore serves - so the argument goes - as a demand driver in a direct product-customer relationship. The special feature of the book is the integration of different communication and media science, media psychology but also economic approaches in the model of the Quality-TV-Entertainment-Experience (QTV-UE). The aim is a more comprehensive understanding of the interplay of production, allocation and reception of high-quality, entertaining creative goods.
