Product details
The automotive industry today is characterized by a high complexity of production as well as an indirect distribution system under the protection of the European Block Exemption Regulation. However, an optimized integration of production harmonization and demand management is currently not taking place sufficiently. Christian M.F. Gruss examines the applicability of revenue management models in the automotive industry. He develops a procedural concept for the simultaneous integration of market and production needs while optimizing contribution margins. The author pays special attention to the inclusion of customer choice behavior and illustrates scenarios of a future structural change in automotive distribution. It becomes clear to what extent a revenue management system can help address the challenges of redesign.
