Heiko Gerlach and Christian Szillat examine the social life arrangements of older gay men, taking into account their experiences of discrimination and acceptance. The authors also investigate the current and preferred future living arrangements of the study participants as they age. As a result, the work provides, for the first time, insights into the living situation, desires, and needs of gay and bisexual men over 50 in Hamburg. Furthermore, the book formulates target group-specific recommendations for senior services, elderly care, and work within the LGBTQI community.
