The present book presents the results of an ethnographic study on forms of collaboration in medium-sized enterprises and develops the theoretical concept of the techniques of the social from these findings. The study shows that current collaboration is shaped by designed directive action determinations. The concept of the techniques of the social describes this form as a technical adjustment of the social and distinguishes between simple and reflexive social techniques. It is a proposal for capturing the current, technologized realities of life, the analytical potential of which is demonstrated at the end through current phenomena of digital culture. The considerations culminate in the thesis that convenience is currently becoming the design imperative of the organization of social relationships.
