Ina Weinbauer-Heidel examines how companies address the transfer problem of corporate training in practice. Based on neo-institutional organizational theory, the author scientifically analyzes for the first time why companies (do not) implement transfer-promoting measures. The empirical data show that the measures identified in research are rarely applied in practice. There exists a research-practice gap, the causes of which are still poorly understood.
