Michael Schönherr describes in his book a model that allows users to quantify the impact of logistical measures and decisions on corporate value. In addition to methods for determining cost-related effects, approaches that enable the quantification of logistics-induced revenue effects are explicitly presented. The foundation of the proposed model is a step-by-step decomposition of the valuation problem, which makes relevant cause-and-effect relationships transparent. This approach simultaneously allows for the application of well-known valuation tools from various business management sub-disciplines, the application of which is also described in detail.
