Framed by mountain slopes, vineyards, and a stream, dominated by towering trees from all over the world - once a healing garden for one of the most advanced psychiatric hospitals of the 19th century, today a natural delight for everyone: The Arboretum Heppenheim on the Bergstrasse has been and continues to be a "garden for the soul." Landscape architect Thomas Herrgen and art historian Sebastian Gulden take you on a journey through the park of giant trees. They share stories about their origins from distant lands, their botanical peculiarities, and the history that accounts for their presence along the Bergstrasse.
