Product details
Kaiser is one of the most important playwrights of Expressionism and made theater history in 1914 with his "Burghers of Calais." His two other plays, "Gas I" (1917/18) and "Gas II" (1918/19), which were equally famous during his lifetime, serve as an allegory for urban flight, industrialization, environmental destruction, faith in science, capitalism, and violence in the face of World War I.
