Product details
4776 DDR military personnel studied at foreign military academies and universities between 1949 and 1990, primarily in the Soviet Union. They completed a course of study that qualified them for service in the various branches, services, and special applications of the NVA or other armed forces. Along with the 6130 graduates of the "Friedrich Engels" Military Academy, they formed the leadership corps of the NVA's units, troop formations, and institutions. In addition to the personal accounts of 25 authors, the book contains many documents, photos, and facts that describe both the various fields of study and the living conditions in the host country.
