Mobility and transportation have become an established field of research. This textbook provides an overview of the key findings in mobility research as well as transportation sciences within geography and its neighboring disciplines, such as spatial planning, urban development, infrastructure, leisure, and consumption research. Following the concept of sustainability from social, economic, and ecological perspectives, the authors repeatedly emphasize the question of whether the observed developments and solutions can be considered sustainable for the future.
