from material to architecture
German, Jaeggi Moholy-Nagy, László, 2019Product details
In 1929, László Moholy-Nagy formulated the fundamental principles of his teaching program. The book contains an excerpt of the preliminary course works from the Bauhaus, "as they develop towards practice from day to day." His educational principle "Everyone is talented" aims "for the closest connection between art, science, and technology." The preliminary course served to train finer sensory perception, starting with touch exercises. Accordingly, the book is divided into four chapters: educational questions, materials, volume (plastic/sculpture), and space (architecture).
