The stage at the Bauhaus
German, 2019Product details
Published in 1925, the book outlines the fundamental concepts of stage design at the Bauhaus. The Bauhaus stage is from the Weimar period; it was significantly shaped by Oskar Schlemmer. He confronted it with expressionist theater after taking over the stage department in 1923. László Moholy-Nagy was interested in abstract kinetic and luminaristic phenomena. Farkas Molnár focused primarily on stage architecture.
