In the first chapter "My Little Rhyme School," the authors present various aspects of poetry work in a simple and clear manner. Students explore the structure of a poem, learn about different rhyme forms, and actively engage with initial forms of poetry. Everyday life is also integrated through a variety of tasks in diverse ways. Children have the opportunity to engage with the individual texts in a differentiated and action-oriented manner, finding their own approach: crafting, painting, completing rhyming words, arranging stanzas, writing their own stanzas or poems, and accompanying poems with movements or sounds. Creativity and the desire to develop and implement their own ideas are at the forefront. In particular, the processes in nature and the different seasons appeal to children of this age group.
