After the first edition of the interdisciplinary work "Vascular Medicine: Therapy and Practice" received an extremely positive response from both German-speaking and English-speaking audiences, the second edition is being presented just three years later. The advancements, particularly in the field of endovascular therapy, have been immense in recent years. The second edition of the book aims to achieve two main objectives: firstly, an update and content improvement of the existing chapters; the latter primarily involves the addition of an introductory anatomical chapter preceding each main chapter. Furthermore, although the focus of the work remains on therapy, a detailed duplex sonography sub-chapter has been added for each vascular region, considering that duplex sonography is the fundamental imaging method.
