In compelling logic, the author of the work "From Basic Trust to Self-Confidence," Rüdiger Posth, presents early childhood emotional and psychosocial development, this time in the pathological realm. The foundations of attachment theory are also central to the examination of disturbed processes. Supported by developmental psychological insights and findings from brain research, he convincingly describes the patterns of early attachment disorders and their possible consequences. He identifies three typical resulting issues: separation anxiety, aggressive-oppositional behavior disorder, and severe attachment disorders. In three dedicated chapters, he develops the disruptive behavior stemming from errors in attachment, separation, and self-formation. The current topic of early external care is also addressed.
