The program "Emotional Adventurer" aims to practically enable (social) educational professionals to support preschool boys (ages 5 to 6) in developing their emotional and social skills in an age-appropriate manner. The focus of the book is on presenting a specifically boy-centered group program, which is laid out in a step-by-step and easily understandable manual format. The framework of the 10-session program is based on the story of the pirate boy Pip and his adventures in the world of emotions. Through Pino, a parrot hand puppet, the group participants are introduced to Pip's experiences in a playful way, making them tangible. The lovingly illustrated stories address the basic emotions of joy, anger, fear, and sadness, as well as the social emotions of shame and pride. This group program encourages boys to recognize and express their feelings.
