The book addresses a theme that has always occupied and captivated people. However, the repeatedly asked question—whether ghostly phenomena are illusions or realities that exist independently of humans—is not the focus of this investigation. Instead, it deals with a problem that has not yet been seen or addressed: for the first time, the question of the archetypal nature of these phenomena is raised, and significant connections between ghostly occurrences and the primordial images of the so-called collective unconscious are highlighted based on the psychology of C. G. Jung. To compare the experiences of modern individuals, ancient legends, the experiences of mystics, and the fantasies of alchemists are also included. Aniela Jaffé was an analyst in Zurich and a long-time collaborator of C. G. Jung. As the editor of "Memories, Dreams, Reflections" by C. G. Jung, she has become known to a large readership.
