Product details

From 1915 to 1918, Italian and Austrian troops faced each other in bloody trench warfare in the Alps. Today, the traces of these battles have largely been erased. Only the supply routes on both sides of the front still exist. For mountain bikers, these paths offer an almost inexhaustible field of activity. This book describes some of the most spectacular tours in the Alps. At the same time, it is also a quest for traces and tells the story of a war without precedent. The second volume of Dynamite Trails describes a total of 34 tours, 33 of which are by mountain bike and one trekking tour along the road of the 52 tunnels on Pasubio, which is closed to bikers. The tours are spread across the former front sections of Monte Pasubio, Lake Garda, Lake Idro, Judicaria, Passo Tonale, as well as Bormio and Vinschgau at Ortler. A map is provided for each tour in the book.
