The book "Geostatistical Simulations" offers a comprehensive analysis and reflection on the development and application of geostatistical simulations, which have gained significance since their introduction 21 years ago, particularly through the Turning Bands method. Originally emerging from the mining industry, geostatistical simulation aims to address the challenges of mine planning and design by better reflecting the variability and detail accuracy of real values. In recent years, interest in these methods has also expanded to the field of hydrocarbons. The book documents the results of a two-day meeting where numerous questions regarding geostatistical simulation were raised, which have not been clearly answered in the academic community so far. The collected contributions and discussions provide valuable insights and suggestions for future research in this area.
